“Now to him who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above and beyond anything we could ask or imagine, according to the power at work within us.”
Even as a girl, Lis was creative, entertaining herself making jewelry or writing poetry. She honed her God-given talent, trusted God to guide her, and in 2017 took a step of faith to open lola lenora.
The store’s unique name, lola lenora, is in honor of her grandmothers. Those two women taught her to be creative as well as to be a woman of integrity.
Both grandmothers faced great hardships, but endured victoriously with grace and love.
Lis started her Etsy business, Lis Dunn Designs, in 2008. She always wanted to have a brick-and-mortar store. So she trusted God to show her the right time to make it happen, then she did.
Through Lis’ life journey, she has married her best friend, Dennis, brought four talented children into the world, formed a MOPS chapter in her church, created her own online business, taught a community class in Rockford for Etsy, welcomed a precious grandson into the family’s hearts, and now adds brick-and-mortar-store-front business woman to her list of successful accomplishments.
